So it's official. Our little princess, Alexis Rainey Rhoton, is half a YEAR old! My my my how time flies when you're having fun. It's so amazing to me what a difference 6 months can make. I had no idea how complete our hearts could be once this little bundle came into our world. God has blessed me beyond words. Exactly 6 months ago we were in our hospital room holding our baby in amazement with our wonderful family and friends around. She was barely 7 pounds and capable of pretty much nothing on her own. Now she is over 15 pounds (I'm guessing.). She can roll over, sit up, express her emotions, laugh, scoot, mimic us, hold her own bottle, eat real food, sleep through the night, grab things, play with the cats, recognize people, and give us kisses on command. It's nothing short of incredible to me. I have said it a zillion times, but that little girl is a gift directly from Heaven. Happy happy happy 6 month birthday to our angel girl. Mommy and Daddy love you dearly.
Since we can't exactly buy her a huge cake and let her go to town, we decided to celebrate by taking Lexi poo to the park. She, of course, loved every second of it!
She wears out very quickly. Shortly after we began swinging, we ended swinging. LOL!
At least we don't have to wonder if she knows how to relax. She propped those feet up and went right to sleep. Haha!
Another happy today- I passed my insurance licensing exam!!! I am officially a licensed Property and Casualty insurance agent in the state of Alabama. SOOO glad to have that behind me! Thank you to everyone who helped me.
1. My amazing husband who studied countless hours with me.
2. Mrs. Demita who quizzed me while I loved on baby Lexi, and reminded me with a little prayer nothing is out of reach.
3. Nana who babysat booboo last night, so that I could get in one last cram session.
4. My bestie Erin who told me right before I went in to look in the mirror and say, "I am awesome!". I did this just for her. I think it's exactly what I needed!
5. Everyone who called to tell me good luck, and that they were thinking of me. It always feels so nice to have such a wonderful support system around you, win or lose. Love you guys very much!
Anyway, that's behind me and never to be worried about again!
We rescheduled Lexi's 6 month appointment at the doctor. It was just too much to take on today. We shall deal with that another day.
Off to play with Lexer lexer. What could have been a horrible day turned out to be pretty awesome. Woo hoo! Lots of love from the Rhotons. <3
