Last Wednesday afternoon my Papa Maze passed away. He had been sick with a cold, but was otherwise in very good health. It was a complete shock to everyone. He was 66 years old.
The visitation was Friday evening in Tuscaloosa. SO many people came out to show their respects. It was very nice. Chip and I very much enjoyed hearing all the stories that Papa's friends had to tell. He was such a character! Never a dull moment!
The funeral service was Saturday morning, also in Tuscaloosa. Papa and Angela's pastor from First Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa spoke. He did such a wonderful job. Everything he said was so uplifting and encouraging. It really was so beautiful.
We will all miss you very much Papa. You will remain in our hearts for all the years ahead. I know you will be looking down over all of us from Heaven. Love you. Roll tide.
