Looks like life is starting to get back to normal here in Rhoton Land. It's back to work and school as usual. I have found that there is yet another silver lining that comes out of all of this tornado mess- Uncle Chocolate Chip Cookie is in town all the time!!! We are really getting used to seeing him every day. So fun! Lexi loves her uncle so much! We are going to have to start plotting how to trick him into staying in Birmingham for the summer...
We are bracing ourselves for a big Lexi accomplishment that could be coming any day now. She is getting SO close to crawling! She pushes up on her little arms and legs and tries so hard to figure out how to move. Last night we were playing in her room when she pushed up and even began to rock back and forth. Brandon and I both froze. We thought for sure she was about to make a move. I am so excited for her! I know once she starts crawling she will feel so free. Not being able to go places is clearly driving her to insanity. Right now I am enjoying our last few days of calm. I have a feeling once that girl starts going she isn't going to stop!!!
We have moved into the level 2 and level 3 foods now. There is such a better selection. Lexi is still super picky though. Her current favorites are carrots (still), bananas, banana flavored oatmeal, strawberry and bananas, turkey and rice, pears, and prunes. She absolutely hates anything green and getting her to eat meat is almost impossible! We have also found that she really likes the Gerber white grape juice. We have been trying to slowly move her off the formula all together, so the juice discovery is really helping.
Getting super excited about our upcoming weekend. It's going to be busy busy busy!! Saturday we are working Allstate's tent at the We Love Homewood Day. Lexi has her little white and blue Allstate onesie ready to go! It's going to be so cute! Sunday is Mother's Day. The whole family is going to celebrate with a picnic at the Botanical Gardens. It's always fun to have all 4 generations together. Monday is mine and Brandon's 2 year anniversary! I think we are going to try to spend it volunteering and possibly grab something yummy for dinner. Maybe I can convince him to recreate our engagement meal?? How romantic! ;) Brandon has already surprised me by cleaning out our entire bedroom and organizing everything for me. I came home from work and WOOHOO the spring cleaning is done! What a treat!!!
Hope everyone has a nice afternoon! Here's a couple of pictures of Lexi at school today to bring a little smile.
