Last night, Daddy and Lexi surprised me with the BEST Mother's Day gift ever! Back in November we had professional pictures made of Lexi and the family. We picked up 2 big, beautiful prints from that session a few weeks later, and they have been sitting on our desk in a protective case ever since. I have wanted to frame them for the longest time, but the frames are so expensive, and it just never seemed to be the right time. For months, Brandon has watched me stare at these pictures every time I sit down at the computer. He must have known how badly I wanted to get them framed and on the walls. Sooooo, last night he surprised me with the pictures in the most beautiful frames that match our den perfectly!!! I love pictures so much and to see these special family photos finally ready to be hung was so exciting! It was the most thoughtful gift. Daddy definitely gets bonus points for this one!
I got yet another Mother's Day gift from Lexi today! Mrs. Demita and Lexi popped into my office with a framed collage of pictures surrounding Lexi's little handprints. The pictures are of Lexi at all different ages. Demita specifically found out which pictures of Lexi were my favorites, and used only those for the collage. I love love love love love it!!! It made me cry seeing my little Booboo growing up so fast. What an amazing keepsake. I can just see myself pulling it out of a dusty old box when Lexi is grown and moved away. It now hangs right beside my desk. I will look at it every day!
Being Lexi's mom is the greatest gift I could ever get. She is the most incredible little person, and I love her more than words can say. I feel like Mother's Day should be a celebration of how lucky I am to have her! I am so grateful for my sweet little family. Thank you Brandon, Demita, and Lexi for already making my very 1st Mother's Day so very special!
