Daddy had to work today- a Saturday!!! Ugh ugh ugh.
It was pouring raining outside, so the park was out of the question. I was determined for me and Lex to have an exciting day. As soon as Brandon walked out the door, I got the brilliant idea of surprising him (and the rest of our family and friends) with pictures. I have been wanting to try out this place I recently heard about called Portrait Innovations. It's kind of an in between actual portrait sessions place. For the wonderfully low price of only 10 dollars you can go home with a 10x13, 2 8x10s, 4 5x7s, 4 3x5s, 16 wallets, and a CD. A-MA-ZING! The catch is that you are only allowed to choose one pose for all of the pictures. That is close to impossible, but I was determined to not spend a fortune. I made an appointment, loaded up all Lexi's beautiful Easter dress options, and headed out.
We spent about an hour taking pictures, and Lexi did great. A little too great. I came veeeery close to breaking my one pose rule. She had so many gorgeous shots in smocked, fancy dresses, but I could not turn down this adorable one of her naked with a feather boa and pearls. So not what I had in mind, but I was in love with her great big smile. That girl just never seizes to amaze me. I could not love her more!!!
I was dying to surprise Brandon with our new pictures! He was exhausted when he got home, but absolutely LOVED them! He was equally as excited that I had done all this without him, and that he will not soon have to go to picture day. I'm sure most of you have gotten my message on facebook about copies of the picture. If you would like one, just let me know. I'll probably need your address, because for some reason I cannot keep up with anyone's address.
Today was a big step for Miss Lexi Poo. She had her first experience with a sippie cup! She did so good! She was attempting to drink water out of my water bottle, so we put some water in her cup for her. She held both the handles and drank just fine. She got a little choked up once or twice, but overall did great! You could tell she felt like such a big girl too. She loved it!
For those of you in Bama, hope you're staying safe in the tornados. I'm off to bed. Goodnight.
