I have been TERRIBLE about blogging lately! So sorry! I promise I will get back in the routine...
So since I updated last, we have been working more on Lexi eating real food. She has grown to love it! She still isn't too keen on the sweet stuff, but she absolutely loves her veggies. Sweet potatoes are her very favorite! She kicks so hard when she sees me getting them out. A gigantic mess is never far behind.
Michelle, Thomas, and Baby Sam came to the house for our first triple date. It was by far the best triple date I have ever been on. Lex loved Sam, and tried to touch him every chance she got. She also very much enjoyed holding hands with him. They are close to the same size, so they make a perfect little baby couple. It's too cute.
So excited that Dad came to visit last week. We had so much fun, and Lex was in Heaven! She thinks he is the funniest person ever to walk on this earth. At one point she had spit up and peed on him, so he was telling her all she needed to do now was poo-poo on him. The word poopoo sent her into a laughing fit that lasted for a solid 15 minutes. It was hilarious! We were all dying. That was definitely the hardest she has ever laughed. She also enjoyed many naps on her G-Paw's shoulder. (Dad says no baby can resist sleeping on him.) It was so nice to get to catch up and spend time together. And of course we had to eat La Brisa while he was here for old times sake. It was delicious!
Brandon and I are STILL recovering from what was the worst virus we have ever had. I got so sick Thursday night, and it hit Brandon early the next morning. We were both out of work, on the couch, dying. It was so so so awful. The worst part of it all was that we had to send Lex away for an entire 24 hour period. It was the longest she has ever been away, and that will not be happening again any time soon. Our little precious pie was so happy to finally be back home and back to our normal routine.
Last time we took Lex to the doctor he mentioned something interesting to us. He asked how she was sleeping, and we were very proud to say that she's been sleeping consistently from 8:30pm to 5am. Then at 5 we give her a quick bottle, and she's back to sleep until about 6:30 or 7. We thought she was doing so good. He thought she could be doing better. He recommended that we stop giving her a formula bottle at 5, and instead give her a bottle with just water. I decided to take it one step further and only allow her to have the paci until after 6am. So far, so good. Two nights in a row she woke up at about 5, we gave her the paci, and she was back to sleep in just a few minutes. Every night since then, she has slept right on through until we wake her up at 6:30. It is AMAZING! I think we are starting to remember what it feels like to sleep a solid night. Who knew?? :)
Took some new pictures of Lex that turned out super cute...
Hope everyone has a great day! Try to stay dry in this disgusting weather... Much Love.
