2011 has started off great!
Baby Lexi slept in her own bed for the very first time last night!!! AND... she slept from 9:30 when we put her down until 7 the next morning!!! What a sweet girl! Apparently she was veeeery ready for some independence. I'm guessing it has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that we smother her with kisses and never put her down. Poor thing was so ready to get away! Haha! I only hope night 2 goes as well as the first.
After a wonderful full night of sleep (minus waking up every 20 minutes to make sure Lex was still breathing and that the heater in her room had not somehow caught fire), we headed over to Mom's house for a day of delicious food, mimosas, football, ping pong, and the oh-so-wonderful game of Spades! Whoever invented the game of Spades is my hero. Nothing like a little friendly competition that somehow always ends not-so friendly. Someone gets mad at their partner for making the wrong move or not having the right card, and it's all downhill from there. Too fun!!!
Also, ROLL TIDE!!! Our Bama boys finished up the season 10-3 with a dominating win against Michigan State today. Following up a National Championship year is always hard, but you really can't complain about a 10 win season. Not too bad. I'm not buying into the speculation that Coach Saban is heading to Dallas. Hope I don't eat my words there. We shall see...
Happy New Year and "Roll Ducks Roll". Glad to hear Baby Lexi got to sleep in her own bed. We loved the photo of her in her new rocking chair watching her Baby Einstein movie. Your Granny & I are going to Atlanta on Tues. and return Wed. afternoon (late) and hope to drop by and see the 3 of you if that's o.k. We will call you Wed. afternoon to confirm.
ReplyDeleteBye for now. Love, Granddaddy Ron
