Just a regular day...

Just a normal start to a day around the Rhoton home. Lexi woke Brandon and I up at 4 am ready to eat. Lately she has decided that after her early morning feeding that she does not want to go back to her crib. She would much rather sleep with Daddy on the couch until it's time to get ready for school. This has become a bad habit that we are working very hard to break. After her feeding this morning, Brandon put her back in her bed, and we had to listen to her whine off and on until 6 am. She never really went back to sleep. In some ways it's so sweet, because all she wants is to cuddle and love on you. In other ways you want to scream, because there is nothing like looking at the clock at 5:30 am and knowing that you have zero chance of going back to sleep before the day gets going. Oh well. Can't be upset with her for being too sweet.

Lexi is definitely going through a very cheerful phase right now. She is ALWAYS smiling and laughing. I really don't think she could be any more content. I have said it a million times, but we are SO lucky to have such a pleasant, happy baby! She is also becoming much more responsive to her surroundings. She is completely aware of what is going on around her and often reacts to it. If you smile at her, she smiles back. If someone walks in the room that she wants to hold her, she will dive for them while squirming away with her little legs. If a show comes on TV that she likes, she will wave her arms and yell at the screen. She also has started holding entire conversations with us. We can go back and forth with her for long periods of time. It is so cute. I can't wait to know what she is saying. She is definitely going to be a talker! LOL!

Talked to the the doctor yesterday, and he has recommended that we start mixing a little cereal with Lexi's formula twice a day. This should help her get more full, and we should be able to start skipping her 4 am feeding. He also recommended that we feed her the cereal mixture with a spoon. This is supposed to get her used to eating out of a spoon instead of the bottle. Brandon and I are going to start the cereal tonight before her bedtime. I'm sure it will be hilarious!

Also, we were SOOOO excited to see our Aunt Erin yesterday when she was passing through town. It's always so nice to see my bestie! Her convos are the absolute best!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE her. Can't wait for her and Danny to be in town for our friend Katie's wedding in two weeks. It's been so long since the 4 of us went out on the town.

There are from a few weeks back, but I love them! :)
